A final Modin send-off in the Hamptons · August 9–12, 2026
Hosted by the Wishengrad & Feig families Volunteer · Confirm details · Sign waiver

Dear Apes parents,

As some of you may know, there is a tradition where the Apes have a 2–3 day post-camp experience together, as a unit, right after camp ends.

This year, we have agreed to Ethan and Jacob's request to host the post-camp experience at our homes in the Hamptons. All meals served will be kosher (restaurant outings aren't necessarily kosher).

A few parents have reached out asking to chip in for some of the costs and to volunteer to help — thank you! That's exactly what this website is for (thank you, Claude!): here you can sign your kids up for post-camp, sign the necessary waiver, and volunteer to contribute and help.

Thanks so much — we hope to see many of you this Sunday at visiting day!

Wishing you a great rest of the summer,
The Wishengrads and The Feigs

A heads-up to share with your kids: while adults will be around, the group will also be out and about in the Hamptons on their own. Please make sure your camper is set up with Uber and has packed toiletries & sunscreen, a sleeping bag, bathing suits, towels, and both smart (dinner out) and casual day clothes.

Rough itinerary

Plans below are a working draft — details may shift.

  • Goldbergs bagels, shmears & smoked salmon for breakfast and a late lunch. Day at the pool and beach around the Wishengrad home.

Direct bus to the Hamptons

We're working on having the bus skip the usual LeFell School stop and drive the kids straight from Camp Modin to Bridgehampton on Sunday, August 9. To make that happen we need to fill it — roughly 50–55 kids. The Apes are on automatically; siblings and friends who want a direct ride to the Hamptons are welcome to grab the extra seats.

Reserve a seat

Parent contact details are collected for the organizers and are not shown publicly.

    1. Agreement to follow directions. I agree to observe any oral instructions or directions given by the Wishengrad Family, or the employees, representatives or agents of the Wishengrad Family.
    2. Assumption of the risks and release. I recognize that there are certain inherent risks associated with the above-described activity and I assume full responsibility for personal injury to my family member, and further release and hold harmless the Wishengrad Family for any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury that may be sustained arising out of my family's use of or presence upon the facilities of the Wishengrad Family, whether caused by the fault of myself, my family, the Wishengrad Family or other third parties.
    3. Indemnification. I agree to indemnify and defend the Wishengrad Family against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs, which may in any way arise from my or my family's use of or presence upon the facilities of the Wishengrad Family.
    4. Fees. I agree to pay for all damages to the facilities of the Wishengrad Family caused by any negligent, reckless, or willful actions by me or my family.
    5. Medical authorization. In the event of an injury during the above-described event, I give my permission to the Wishengrad Family or to their employees, representatives or agents to arrange for all necessary medical treatment for which I shall be financially responsible. This temporary authority will begin on August 9, 2026 and will remain in effect until terminated in writing by the undersigned or August 12, 2026, whichever occurs first. The Wishengrad Family shall have the power to seek appropriate medical treatment or attention as required by the circumstances, including without limitation that of a licensed medical physician and/or a hospital, and the power to authorize medical treatment or medical procedures in an emergency situation.
    6. No duress. I agree and acknowledge that I am under no pressure or duress to sign this Agreement and that I have been given a reasonable opportunity to review it before signing. I further agree and acknowledge that I am free to have my own legal counsel review this Agreement if I so desire.
    7. Arm's length agreement. This Agreement and each of its terms are the product of an arm's length negotiation between the Parties. In the event any ambiguity is found to exist in the interpretation of this Agreement, or any of its provisions, the Parties explicitly reject the application of any legal or equitable rule of interpretation which would lead to a construction either "for" or "against" a particular party based upon their status as the drafter of a specific term, language, or provision giving rise to such ambiguity.
    8. Enforceability. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of this Agreement, whether standing alone or as applied to a particular occurrence or circumstance, shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision of this Agreement, and such invalid or unenforceable provision shall be deemed not to be a part of this Agreement.
    9. Dispute resolution. The parties will attempt to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement through friendly negotiations. If the matter is not resolved by negotiation, any controversies or disputes will be submitted to mediation in accordance with any statutory rules of mediation. If mediation does not successfully resolve the dispute, the parties may proceed to seek an alternative form of resolution in accordance with any other rights and remedies afforded to them by law.
